Survey - Trimble Access version 1.80

Trimble Access version 1.80 is available for update through Trimble Access Installation Manager. Version 1.80 contains critical updates and should be applied.

Trimble Access Latest Release
Trimble Access System version 1.8.0, January 2011
General Survey version 1.50
New features

TSC3
The TSC3 supports a new larger screen with a higher resolution than the TSC2. It also has a new
operation system. The TSC3 supports the following key new features:
Internal GPS
The internal GPS can be used to navigate to a point and for GPS search. GPS search is
automatically enabled but a connected GNSS receiver is always used in preference to the
internal GPS.
Internal compass
The internal compass provides an aid to navigation.
Internal camera
The 5 megapixel camera can be used to capture and attach an image to a point.
Internal cellular modem
The integrated GSM/GPRS modem enables wireless Internet connectivity
Operating system available in multiple languages
The operating system on the TSC3 controller is now available in multiple languages. When
you turn on the TSC3 controller for the first time, you are prompted to select the language for
the operating system. The following languages are supported:
à English
à Spanish
à German
à French
à Chinese
à Japanese
Selecting a language for the operating system also installs the matching Trimble Access
language, so you are no longer required to install a Trimble Access language if you selected
one of the above operating system languages. If the language you require is not listed above,
select the English operating system and then use Trimble Access Installation Manager to
install your preferred language.
Note - Once a language is selected, it can only be changed by returning the controller to a
Service Center.

Post Processed Infill enhancements: You can now log raw data in the RTK part of an RTK &infill
survey type. To enable this option, select Log data in RTK mode in the Rover options form in the
survey style. By default, this option is not selected. In addition, you can now elect to start the survey
in Infill mode if there is no radio link when you start the survey.
Known issues: Resolved
Bluetooth device missing: A problem where a paired Bluetooth device was not appearing in the
Bluetooth list has been fixed. Previously, having successfully established a partnership with a device,
it was not appearing in the drop down list of available devices.
Resection failing: An issue where the total station failed to turn to the third point when performing a
resection is resolved. Previously, the instrument failed to turn if Compute station elevation was not
selected.
Rover radio Connect softkey: For a GPRS internet survey, the Connect softkey on the Rover radio
form was not required and has been removed. Previously, tapping Connect produced a port in use
message.
Roads version 1.50
New features
A Scale Factor can now be applied to a Trimble road (RXL) definition. A specified scale factor
scales the road definition but retains the original station values. This functionality is a requirement for
the Ministry of Transportation Quebec, Canada but may have application elsewhere.
Known issues: Resolved
GENIO roads: A problem where positions for interpolated stations on a 3D string were being
incorrectly computed has been fixed. This was caused by the software incorrectly calculating the
azimuth for the 3D string and occurred when there was a change in azimuth between the line that the
interpolated station lay on and the line before that line.
Tunnels version 1.50
There are no changes in this release.
Mines version 1.50
There are no changes in this release.

Monitoring version 1.20
Known issues: Resolved

start before orientating on the back sight has been fixed. This is only a problem if the point defining
the back sight is imported from a CSV file.
Application errors
You should no longer see occasional application errors when you do the following:
